So Will I (100 Billion X) – Hillsong Worship

I love the lyrics of this song especially this part:

And as You speak
A hundred billion failures disappear
Where You lost Your life so I could find it here
If You left the grave behind You so will I
I can see Your heart in everything You’ve done
Every part designed in a work of art called love
If You gladly chose surrender so will I
I can see Your heart
Eight billion different ways
Every precious one
A child You died to save
If You gave Your life to love them so will I

When we question his existence…

In this age where it seems like every person lives in brokenness and shattered dreams, when I say broken, I mean damaged beyond what people can think of, it’s hard to even think that there is a loving God who still cares for us, for our needs, for our future, but there is.

There is a God who still cares. He loves us so much that he wants us to know him so we can know how to rejoice this life and make the most of it.

If everything in creation speaks something of its creator, so will I.

A designer does not design or create an object without a purpose. There is always a reason behind it and we can know it by having an intimate relationship with the creator himself.

When we feel we keep on failing him…

I’ve read this devotional from Utmost To His Highest years ago, and here’s a part of it:

“It is a trap to presume that God wants to make us perfect specimens of what He can do— God’s purpose is to make us one with Himself.

Christian perfection is not, and never can be, human perfection. Christian perfection is the perfection of a relationship with God that shows itself to be true even amid the seemingly unimportant aspects of human life.

We see people who don’t believe in God who seem to live perfect lives. These lives may leave you with the idea that God is unnecessary— that through your own human effort and devotion you can attain God’s standard for your life.In a fallen world this can never be done. I am called to live in such a perfect relationship with God that my life produces a yearning for God in the lives of others, not admiration for myself.

God’s purpose is not to perfect me to make me a trophy in His showcase; He is getting me to the place where He can use me. Let Him do what He wants.”
-My Utmost To His Highest

Whenever we fail him, there’s that negative mindset injected in us that we can’t come to God anymore, but it is actually the opposite. Jesus is the way to God. When he gave his life on the cross, he made a way so we can come and talk to God directly. No statue to pray to, no special people to go to to enlist our prayers and pray 10 other prayers just to be forgiven. None of those things, because we can talk directly to God and he listens.

*Finally publishing this post after almost a year! 😂 I’m cleaning up my drafts this vacation. Yes!!! =) Here’s the video by the way of how I made the art lettering in the first photo. Enjoy.

  1. It is such a relief to let go of perfection!

So will I makes me cry every time I hear it. I want it to be true. I fall short, but that is no surprise. Its ok. He cares about me, and did all of that. So i will keep coming back to him!
