ABOUT WORDS AND WONDERS
This site was initially created as my space for writing.
It has become my platform for improving my creative skills for more than ten years now. Fifteen years, if I will include my first blog that was regretfully deleted.
Over the years, I have creatively grown along with this site. I’ve learned so many things from different people and cultures. I feel I have explored the world little by little while reading other people’s blogs.
From an online journal, this site eventually became a working space for me as well.
JOB OPPORTUNITIES
Doors were opened for many job opportunites for me through this site. Little did I know that as I was honing my craft through this platform, this site kept on attracting different clients and companies that would then offer collaborations and writing opportunities. For years, writing here has become a source of income for me. I’ll keep on sharing on this blog how others can do the same.
LIFE IN JEDDAH
Since I am in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, you’ll see some posts about life here; the places to go to, restaurant reviews, and things to do in this semi-desert place.

So, wonder with me as I fill this space with written words and wonderful photos. Enjoy reading!

Hi Gilian! I lived in the Philippines for most of my life. It’s nice to know another Fil blogger in Jeddah/Saudi Arabia. What are you doing here? How do you like it so far? :)
I was happy to see your blog, too. 🙂 I’ve been living here for more than 15 years now. My family moved here many years ago and my life continued here- studying, working, and having my own family.
I honestly like the simplicity of life here, but the limitations for women can really be difficult sometimes. 🙂
Hi Gilian, nice to meet you here as a fellow Mommy blogger. 🙂

Hi! I am Nerissa, a Filipino living in Italy.
We just started a website dedicated to the lives of all those living in a country other than the one where they were born. Thru PeopleAbroad.org we intend to increase connections, awareness, and understanding among people.
We would like to ask you to contribute as an author to the website by writing even one single post with photos and/or videos about the region of the world you live in. Your post can be externally linked to your personal websites, blogs, Facebook pages, Twitter account, and/or anything else you like, in order to promote your own activity.
If possible, we would also like you to write your story (bio – where you live and how you decided to live your life abroad) – example: https://www.peopleabroad.org/nerissa-filipino-living-in-italy/.
To become an author, it is not necessary to live in a different country from where you were born, but simply to know a bit of the world by having lived, studied, or traveled abroad.
Please, sign up to our website at https://www.peopleabroad.org/register/ and send all your files with things you would like to share (your story or your posts) by email to people(at)peopleabroad(dot)org. In case of big files, send them by WETRANSFER.
Since this website is still under construction, we do not have yet made it available to search engines for indexation. So, to access it, just type http://www.PeopleAbroad.org.
We are just starting and that is why your help is essential. We would love to see you onboard!
All the best,
Nerissa
