Dear Believers, The Church has left the Building…

The CHURCH has left the building.

Finally. ๐Ÿ˜‚

But let’s us remind you that:

We are the church. We are the body.

When the enemy thought he could lockdown the church,

He forgot that we (the church/the people) were meant to spread.

โ€œBut the hour is coming, and is now here, when the true worshipers will worship (not in mountains or temples built by men,) but they will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father is seeking such people to worship him.

God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth.” – John 4:21-24

We are not limited by place,

We donโ€™t need a mountain to go to,

A building to enter in,

We can make every place, a place of worship

For God is omnipresent

Wherever you are,

Just continue worshipping God.

We can do it anywhere. ๐Ÿ˜„

We donโ€™t need a specific day to do it either,

All day? Every day?

Once we canโ€™t worship, pray, read Godโ€™s word, preach, without a specific building or place or time

We have fallen into merely being religious. ๐Ÿ™‚

We donโ€™t know when everything will be back to normal, or if it will ever be. For now, let us keep spreading the love of God to everyone we meet especially at a time like this. We are the church, we may have left our buildings for now, but we carry the message of Christ in our hearts and it is meant to go out into the world. ๐Ÿ˜

This post was inspired by the recent Corona Virus and how most churches have closed. It has been a tough time for pastors and leaders because if they cancel worship services-people who are full of “faith” look down on them and think that they don’t trust God enough. If they don’t cancel, majority thinks they are insensitive about the world’s condition and that they are not protecting the church.

May they be given wisdom at tough times like this.

I believe that whatever decisions they have come up with, God’s grace will be with them.

May the people who go to church support them and not be limited to just worship and serve inside the church when we are commanded to go to the ends of the earth to preach the gospel.

We are all out of the ‘church’ right now. The church we have long considered as a building.

I was reminded of the story of Babel when the people built a tower that could reach up to the heavens. Man was going against God’s command to be dispersed, to subdue the earth and rule over it. They did not want to be dispersed. Thus, God had to spread them.

Then they said, “Come, let us build ourselves a city and a tower with its top in the heavens, and let us make a name for ourselves, lest we be dispersed over the face of the whole earth.” – Genesis 11:4

At times the church building has been our comfort zone. Instead of spreading, we stay in one place. It is not wrong to gather and celebrate as people of God, but when we it has become a routine for us, we tend to become lazy in advancing God’s kingdom to the ends of the earth.

Whenever people ask if the end is near, I want to say NO. It is far from near because Christians have become so lazy in spreading the word. ๐Ÿ˜… It is exaggerated, of course. ๐Ÿ™‚ It says in Matthew, that the end will come only when the gospel of the kingdom will be proclaimed throughout the world.

And this gospel of the kingdom will be proclaimed throughout the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come. – Matthew 24:14

The entire creation awaits, even creation wants to be restored in its glory.

21 that the creation itself will be set free from its bondage to corruption and obtain the freedom of the glory of the children of God.

22 For we know that the whole creation has been groaning together in the pains of childbirth until now.

23 And not only the creation, but we ourselves, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for adoption as sons, the redemption of our bodies. – Romans 8:21-23

We may have left our church buildings for now, but let us use this to finally be dispersed whether offline, online, checking on our neighbors through phone. Bringing hope to our relatives that the pain we are experiencing now is nothing compared to the glory that awaits us in the presence of God forever.

This is the future that awaits those who believe and trusts God:

He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.” – Revelation 21:4

And this is the hope of those who trust in God. He has promised a new earth where we will be staying with his creation in its perfect glory.

I know this is my longer that the usual post and I thank you for reading until the end. ๐Ÿ˜˜
