He Always Finds Me

One afternoon, my husband and I were at the grocery with our youngest boy. In the middle of our grocery shopping, my husband thought of testing my son. He told me to let our son look around and leave his side and see what he will do. Our expectation? Well, we were expecting for him to look for us, that’s for sure.

To our surprise though, he didn’t seem to be bothered. He saw we were gone, but he cautiously continued looking around from one item to another. He casually strolled from one aisle to the next, but wouldn’t interact with other people.

After around three minutes, we went back to him and he was just smiling. We asked him, “Were you not afraid? Why didn’t you look for us?”

We were not ready for his answer. He simply said, “I’m not afraid. I know daddy always finds me.” Such a confidence in his dad.

He always finds me

It reminded me of the confidence we should have towards our heavenly father.

“I know God will help me.”

“I know God will make a way.”

“I believe He will strengthen me.”

“I believe He will provide for me.”

“I believe He will give me wisdom.”

God is FOR US.

This is the importance of knowing God. Knowing who HE is, and what HE can do, helps us to have a correct mindset towards everything that is happening to us.

Our earthly fathers may have failed to give us a perfect example of how fathers should be, but our God is a perfect one. He is greater and stronger than we think and we can be confident that He who began a good work in us will be able to complete it in us as well.

He made the heavens and the earth.

He parted a great sea to make a way.

He rained down food in the desert to provide for his people.

He made a lame man walk.

He made a blind man see.

He made a dead man, live again.

He is far greater than anyone can think of, and more than any other gods, He is not dead. He is alive.

Let us put our confidence in Him like never before. He always finds us, He always makes a way. ♥️

  1. Thanks for this sharing your story! Brought me to tears. It reminded me of Psalms 139:7-12…

“Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence? If I go up to the heavens, you are there; if I make my bed in the depths, you are there. If I rise on the wings of the dawn, if I settle on the far side of the sea, even there your hand will guide me, your right hand will hold me fast. If I say, “Surely the darkness will hide me and the light become night around me,” even the darkness will not be dark to you; the night will shine like the day, for darkness is as light to you.”
