Test as You Build

Every morning, my family watches an episode of this Netflix series called BAKING IMPOSSIBLE where a baker is teamed up with an engineer. The teams will be given a series of challenges and a stress test will be given to make sure the engineered cakes would stay intact and strong.

Failure to test

One of the engineers failed at some point because time was running out and he was not able to test the creation as he and his chef were building it. It was a lesson for him as he reminded himself to “TEST AS YOU BUILD” making sure the foundations are strong enough as you keep adding heights to the cake. He was so focused at how the cake would look like that he missed the most important thing.

Building of our faith

Test as you build.

That line is so beautiful and so calming especially if one is going through a tough time. It is a comfort. A hush, in the middle of the storm assuringly saying “Keep calm, I am building your faith.”

A Call to Persevere

[17] But you must remember, beloved, the predictions of the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ. [18] They said to you, “In the last time there will be scoffers, following their own ungodly passions.” [19] It is these who cause divisions, worldly people, devoid of the Spirit.

[20] But you, beloved, building yourselves up in your most holy faith and praying in the Holy Spirit, [21] keep yourselves in the love of God, waiting for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ that leads to eternal life. [22] And have mercy on those who doubt; [23] save others by snatching them out of the fire; to others show mercy with fear, hating even the garment stained by the flesh. Jude 1:17-23
