Wise Friends Make You Wise

Bad company corrupts good character. =) Does this line go for workplace as well? Well, sometimes. haha

Do you choose your friends wisely? Some would say that we shouldn’t, that we should accept everyone for who they are and what they can contribute to us. Partly true. We can allow ourselves to be around them, we can’t stop that, but we also put a limitation on how their ways affect us. We often get their bad habits instead of influencing them with the good. =)

Proverbs 13

These are the other verses from Proverbs 13 that I like. =)

On correcting children:

On laziness:Proverbs 13

On money:

  1. I think it’s great to be around all sorts of diverse people — especially if their views are vastly different from mine — because that’s the best way to learn. But you’re right: when it comes to certain things (like negative people or vengeful ones), it is better that we do not let their negativity and hate affect us. Nice post!

  2. I accept everyone but I don’t consider them as close friends. I rather have few friends, those people who I know who will be there for me through thick and thin. Friends who really care. 🙂

  3. YES, yes and yes, it is so important that we surround ourselves with good people. I really believe that. I think this is why, as a parent, I really make an effort to get to know my son’s friends. I know they play a huge role in influencing him and shaping him, too. So I wanna be sure that he picks his friends wisely.

    1. Very true. I would ask my kid if it’s good to follow what another kid has done or not and the consequences after. This helps them practice making good choices even we’re not around.

  4. These are great quotes! Receiving them daily will really help you stop and think about how you’re living your life. Regarding the one about friends, I’m open to being friends with everyone but choose wisely the ones that I become really close to.
